Saint Theodore the Recruit (Tyro)

Saint Theodore the Recruit (Tyro) was a Christian and enlisted Roman soldier who disobeyed a command to sacrifice to idols. He was thrown in prison to be starved to death. Christ appeared to him and strengthened him. He confessed Christ to the governor, was tortured and finally burned alive on February 17, 306.
